Company structure update

Exciting news from Media 1 as we embark on a new ownership structure following the retirement of Steve Bindley to a non-executive role. Over the years Steve has been establishing a great team of experienced leaders with the aim of seamlessly stepping down and allowing the company to continue and thrive for many years to come. Allowing us to continue to support our clients with high quality and creative work.

The blend of experience, creativity and youth in the team has allowed Steve to successfully transfer his operational responsibilities to the management team over the last six months. The management team have a collective 51 years working at Media 1 and understand the company - its purpose and values - and have always worked hard alongside Steve to achieve our goals.

What does this mean practically?

There will be little change on a day-to-day basis. It’s ‘business as usual’ as we complete the final handover of responsibilities to the management team. This smooth transition of ownership means our clients will continue to experience the excellent service we deliver.

New team, new structure

Phil Tyler, who has been with the company since 2014, will be the new Managing Director and oversee the running of Media1 Productions. He’ll be supported by the rest of the new board including:

  • Lorna Richardson – Finance Director
  • Sarah Arnold – Personnel Director
  • Mark Stirling – Technical Innovation Director
  • Chris Wright –  Director of Operations

Supported of course by a period of consultation from Steve.

A few words from Phil

“Media1 Productions is a very special place to work, full of incredibly talented individuals who produce stunning events. I’m delighted that Steve has chosen the path of employee-ownership and feel privileged to be leading the business into the next chapter of its history, with his continued support”.

A final word and thank you from Steve
“I’m immensely proud of the innovative, creative and highly technical events we have delivered across the world over the last twenty-three years. It has been a real privilege.

So, that just leaves me to say a massive thank you for all your support. I know that you will join me in wishing the new team every success as they take the company forward.”

Thanks,
